I. BACKGROUND:
CARE is an international NGO which has been working in Yemen continuously since 1992, implementing programs that aim at reducing poverty and promoting social justice. Currently, CARE is operational in 12 Governorates (Al-Hodeidah, Al-Mahwit, Hajjah, Amran, Sana’a, Amana Al-Asimah, Ibb, Taiz, Aden, Al-Dhale, Abyan, and Lahj) throughout Yemen either through direct implementation or with partners, providing emergency assistance and increasing people’s ability to cope with crises and preparedness. CARE’s programming focuses on various sectors including food security and livelihoods, agriculture, WASH, education, health, and economic empowerment and the overall goal of CARE’s programming to save live/livelihoods and promote resilience and self-reliance. CARE has a long history of working with local implementing partners (Local NGOs and Community-based Organizations) since 1998 in different sector has been giving due emphasis to build the organizational capacity of local implementing partners through conducting various capacity building endeavors.
CARE continues to strengthen its strategy of working with local implementing partners with the aim of building their capacity and to ensure wider geographic outreach. As part continuous update of its mapping of local implementing partners, CARE Yemen would like to invite all interested and eligible LNGOs/CBOs to apply and be registered into CARE’s database of partners so that they can be considered for future programming.
II. PURPOSE OF THE Advert EXERCISE:
The purpose of the advert exercise to know the active, competent, reputable, and experienced LNGOs/CBOs that have interest to partner with CARE in future programming.
III. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION:
The following are the criteria/requirements for application to be considered for registration with CARE Potential partners:
a. The organization must be a registered organization at MoSAL with a renewed work permit;
b. It should have a permanent office location(s) and basic office furniture and computers;
c. It should have financial, procurement, human resources, and administration policies and systems in-place;
d. The LNGO/CBO needs to have adequate experience in development and humanitarian programming;
e. The organization should have the required technical staffs and volunteers (both males and females);
