Now in its tenth year of conflict, Yemen remains engulfed in a severe protection and humanitarian crisis. The prolonged conflict, a collapsing economy, and the breakdown of essential services have deepened humanitarian needs nationwide. Compounding these challenges, climate shocks, escalating regional tensions, and chronic underfunding of critical humanitarian sectors have further heightened the vulnerability and suffering of millions.
CARE is committed to responding to emergencies, building resilience, and amplifying the voices of the most vulnerable. During the fiscal year of July 2023 to June 2024, CARE reached 2,717,290 people across 14 governorates in Yemen through programs focused on food security and livelihoods, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), women’s economic empowerment, and education.
